Product description Tamnavulin Sherry Cask, 40%

Tamnavulin Sherry Cask is an excellent single malt whiskey from the Speyside region of Scotland. At the beginning of its maturation, it is moved to barrels made of American white oak. It is then divided into three parts, each of which is stored in different sherry casks. Specifically, 250-liter sherry casks of the Paez, Vasyma and Tevasa brands are used. The whiskey is then blended again and stored in casks to bring the influences of the individual sherries together into a wonderfully harmonious whole.

The water for the production of this whiskey comes from underground reservoirs in the Easterton Mountains. These reservoirs are filled annually by melting snow and are naturally filtered by ancient limestone rocks during their journey underground.

Color: Deep gold

Smell: Freshly baked cake with caramelized fruit and vanilla pods. Later, it will enchant you with notes of bananas, oranges and fresh ginger, which complete the rich aromatic mosaic.

Taste: Warm and pleasant. Avalanche of exotic flavors, glazed nectarine, pudding with almond flavor. Spices, demerara sugar and oranges.

Conclusion: Complex and rich. Fruit cake and overripe pears.

Tamnavulin was founded in 1966 in the small Scottish village of Tomnavoulin. Between 1995 and 2007, the distillery was closed. However, it was renovated in 2007 and since then it has been producing its whiskey with a taste typical of the Speyside region.

The name Tamnavulin comes from the Gaelic language and means "mill on the hill". It is a reference to the historic mill building, which still stands near the distillery.

Today, 12 people work in the distillery and the character of the whiskey they produce is gaining more and more enthusiasts. Tamnavulin is currently one of the best-selling Scottish single malt whiskeys in Scottish stores.
