Jura Red Wine Cask Finish is a whiskey in which the typically delicious taste of Jura whiskey is elegantly combined with hand-selected red wine casks. The result is a fruity taste with a beautifully full body and pleasure in every glass!

The initial maturation of this whiskey takes place in American white oak barrels that originally contained bourbon. Later, the whiskey is transferred to hand-selected European oak casks. These were previously used to mature red wine, and the Jura Red Wine Cask Finish whiskey added impressive notes of dark forest fruit.

Color: Deep mahogany-gold.

Aroma: Sultanas, caramel, dark forest fruits.

Taste: Raspberries, strawberries, vanilla and cinnamon.

Jura Distillery, was originally established in 1810, but according to historical evidence, illegal distilling has been taking place on this remote island since the early 16th century, so unofficially it could be one of the oldest whiskey distilleries in Scotland.

It was inactive for many years and was reborn only in 1963 thanks to the local community and Whyte & Mackay. The original Jura whiskey was heavily peated and quite distinctive, similar to whiskey from the nearby island of Islay. Today, some of the tallest pot stills in Scotland are installed here, producing a lighter but still unmistakable whiskey.
