Exotic tonka beans from the Venezuelan rainforests are among the most distinctive and popular ingredients in modern gastronomy. Its intense aroma is reminiscent of a combination of vanilla, almonds, caramel and sandalwood, giving dishes an unmistakable character.

Tonka beans grow on massive trees in the tropical climate of Venezuela. After harvesting, the fruits are dried, then macerated in rum and dried again, giving them their typical aroma and rich aromatic profile. The result is a spice with a deep sweet-spicy taste and a slightly bitter finish. It stands out best freshly grated on a fine grater, similar to nutmeg. A really small amount is enough, because its aroma is extremely intense.

It is perfect for desserts, creams, chocolate, ice cream, cheesecakes, but also for coffee, cocktails or modern gastronomy.

Warning: Tonka bean contains coumarin, so it is recommended to use it in moderation. However, in small quantities it is commonly used in gastronomy for its strong aroma.

They are dried flower buds of an evergreen tree that are hand-picked before they bloom to retain maximum essential oils, a strong aroma and a full taste. Its typical star shape conceals an intense sweet-spicy aroma with notes of anise, licorice and a slightly spicy finish. This high-quality star anise comes from Vietnam, where it is grown in ideal conditions in a traditional way. Whole star anise retains a high content of essential oils, which gives it a distinctive aroma and rich taste. Star anise is an integral part of Asian cuisine. It is used in Vietnamese PHO, Indian biryani and Chinese five-spice mixture.

It is also excellent in broths, stews, sauces, marinades, mulled wine, punch and desserts. Whole star anise is added during long cooking to gradually release its aroma, and is removed from the dish before serving.

This variety comes from Ecuador, where it ripens in a hot and humid climate rich in nutrients. The peppers are harvested at full maturity and then dried and crushed into fine flakes that allow for easy and precise dosing. The taste of Bhut Jolokia is complex and gradually develops. First, fruity notes reminiscent of dried plums, dark berries and a subtle smoke appear, before an intense and long-lasting heat sets in.

It is excellent for BBQ sauces, marinades, chili sauces, stews, legumes and grilled specialties. It also works great in sweet-spicy combinations with lime, garlic, honey or cane sugar. We recommend dosing very carefully when using it. Even a small amount can significantly affect the taste and heat of food.

The legendary SPOG barbecue mix is ​​built on a simple yet perfectly balanced combination of high-quality salt, pepper, onion and garlic. Each ingredient has been selected to create a distinctive, full and naturally smoky flavour suitable for any barbecue. The name SPOG comes from the basic ingredients – Salt, Pepper, Onion, Garlic. However, our version is no ordinary mix. We used premium Tellicherry black pepper with fruity notes, sea salt from the Croatian island of Nin, smoked sea salt from Denmark, roasted onions, dried onions and fermented black garlic, which gives the mix a slightly caramel and umami character. The coarser grind ensures a more pronounced flavour and better texture when grilling.

The mix is ​​great for beef, steaks, chicken, fish, vegetables, burgers or baked potatoes. It also works great as a universal seasoning for marinades or directly on ready-made dishes. The taste is distinctive, lightly smoked, spicy and perfectly balanced without unnecessary artificial additives.
