It comes from the protected area of ​​Manambato, where vanilla cultivation has a long tradition and each pod is hand-processed. The pods are soft, flexible, naturally shiny and have an intense sweet aroma with a high vanillin content of 1.8–2%. This means that a small amount is enough to give a strong flavour to desserts, creams, ice cream, dough, homemade vanilla sugar or hot drinks.

Vanilla is also great for savoury dishes. It is a great addition to seafood, fish, slow-roasted meat or homemade vanilla salt. You can scrape the seeds directly into a recipe and use the empty pod to flavour sugar, salt or cream.
