What does the spike marking mean?

EF - Extra Fine (Extra Fine) - Very thin line.
F - Weak tip (Fine) - Suitable for normal writing and notes. Gentle pressure creates a fine line. Very popular, suitable for users with standard handwriting.
M - Medium tip (Medium) - Average pressure and line width. Suitable for users who like a slightly stronger line.
LH - Tip for left-handed (Left-handed) - Beveled tip.
