In the production of the surface of the boards, up to 55% of the cellulose from trees was replaced with biodegradable waste and recycled fibers. Specifically, coffee, lavender and kiwi residues were used and recycled fibers and cellulose from sustainably managed forests were used. The surface material is produced using renewable energy, while the emissions generated are fully compensated.
