The diary has a strong, sewn-in spine binding in Assuan boards, surrounded by a flexible elastic band to prevent spontaneous opening. Assuan is a raw canvas that naturally evokes the world of painting and creates an ideal base for the artistic technique used. Its coarser structure contrasts with the delicacy of the floral motifs and gives the notebook depth and character, while the natural irregular texture emphasizes the aesthetics of nature and small imperfections.
