History of Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Spice is a blend that has been associated with autumn, baking and the scent of home for generations. Although most people associate it with pumpkin spice lattes today, the first mentions of this spice blend date back to the late 18th century. It originated in the USA under the influence of European immigrants who brought with them the tradition of baking spiced cakes and desserts. Despite the name, you will not find pumpkin in the blend. Pumpkin Spice is a combination of warming spices, dominated by cinnamon, supplemented with ginger, cloves, allspice and nutmeg. We have also enriched our version with Vietnamese cinnamon and long pepper, which adds a slightly sweet and exotic aroma.

How does Pumpkin Spice taste? The taste is sweet and spicy, warming and intensely aromatic. The dominant notes are cinnamon and cloves, complemented by the delicate freshness of ginger and the warm aroma of nutmeg. The long spice adds subtle notes of vanilla, wood and exotic spices to the mixture.

Pumpkin Spice is perfect for pumpkin pies, gingerbread, oatmeal, hot chocolate, coffee, tea or baked apples and pumpkin. The mixture contains no sugar, only freshly ground spices.
